Lantern Procession Nov 30th

At about ten to five it was back to the Leigh Park Grotto to prepare for the lantern parade, along with a very large number of children and their parents and grandparents.

Lanterns were handed out by the volunteers from the Grotto, and then we set out from the Greywell Precinct with much singing and laughter. Once into Park Parade we did a circuit of the shopping area, past the Tricketts amusement rides, and then back up to Greywell and the Grotto.

Ready to go

When we arrived  back at the Grotto the lanterns were handed back and all of the children were offered a mini fairy cake, each of which had been made and beautifully decorated by one of the volunteers.
