Reception at Serle’s House, Winchester

June 12, 2014

On Monday 9th June, in the evening I attend the Lord Lieutenant’s reception for new Mayors and Chairmen of Hampshire at Serle’s House.  This is the home of the Hampshire Regiment and we were shown around the museum which is in the process of being revamped.  This was a very interesting experience where I found out that the Regiment has a total of 10 VC’s.  There were many artefacts to see and I  enjoyed hearing about some of the heroic episodes of the Regiment.
