Our last engagement of the day was to see the musical Sweeney Todd. Performed by the Hayling Musical Society. After supper before the show, the performance begun. Goodness me, if I had known the script I might not have eaten the meat pie!
The Musical Society are brilliant, so professional. The story, gory to say the least. The Hayling Community Centre was laid out as a restaurant with candles on the tables. Very atmospheric.
A very enjoyable end to a busy day.
Our third event today was to open the Funlands Winter Wonderland on Hayling Island. We didn’t think they could make it even better than last year, but they did. It is spectacular, a trip on the Santa Express and a meeting the Santa himself. He gave me a beautiful bouquet and said he knew I wanted diamond necklace, and it was on it’s way!
Our second event of the day was to switch on the first Christmas lights in the Havant Borough. After a lantern parade through the Presinct, we joined Santa and his Elf in switching on the lovely Christmas Tree lights. The area was packed with happy children with their Mums and Dads. Well done to the Waterlooville Events Team supported by HBC for a great event.
