This afternoon we enjoyed a visit to the offices of the Havant Borough Talking Newspaper. What a wonderful service they provide to around 150 local residents, who have either poor or no sight. We bumped into three of our local Vicars who had arrived to give readings for the fortnightly prayer.
I was happy to give a reading, where I spoke about our Community Chest and read The StarFish Story.
This morning Andy and I visited Waterlooville Police Station to help judge the annual Drink Drive Poster Competition, along with Inspector Humpries and PC James.
There were around 100 entries from schools in the Borough and we found the standard to be very high. After a lengthy debate, we chose a winner and two runners up. We will be entertaining the winners to tea in The Parlour in December.
