Veterans and Cadets at the serviceToday we were honoured to be invited to attend the D Day and Normandy Fellowship Annual Commemorative Service at Portsmouth Cathedral. On this 71st Anniversary of D Day we were so pleased to have our photograph taken with a 92 year old veteran of the D Day landings.

The other photo is with veterans and local naval cadets.

In the evening, all the newly elected Mayors and Chairmen in Hampshire were invited to Serle’s House in Winchester. This was to a reception held by the Lord Lieutenant of Hampshire. It was a good opportunity to meet again people we had already been introduced too and to meet new ones. There are 13 newly elected Mayors and Chairman each year.
