Annual Seafarer’s Service – 19th October

It was a pleasure to attend this annual event at the St Thomas of Canterbury Anglican Cathedral in Portsmouth which was followed by the laying of wreaths at the Nelson Statue in Grand Parade (with pride I laid Havant’s wreath) culminating with the Lord Mayor of Portsmouth’s short Act of Committal where he cast a wreath into the sea in tribute to those who lost their lives at sea in conflict.
