On the 12 July I attended the Staunton Festival. A beautiful hot sunny day and I enjoyed looking at all the stalls and attractions. It was fascinating to hear about the processes used for purifying our tap water also to see one of their original brown Standard vans which had been renovated to its original ‘glory’ – I suggested they might like to enter or show it at our Classic Vehicle Show next April. Another stall at which I spent a long time was the Husky rescue stall. Delightful dogs they were looking forward to a trip into the water mist tent – I don’t blame them, I enjoyed it too – as it was so hot. Due to other Mayoral commitments I couldn’t stay too long but congratulations on a super attraction for the local community.
