The annual Commodore’s Dinner at the Hayling Island Sailing Club was held last night.
With around a hundred or so people in attendance, the atmosphere was one of friendly chatter and talk of yachts and dinghies.
A very nicely prepared and presented meal, by a very accomplished chef, helped to make this an event that was an absolute pleasure for Elaine and I to attend.
There were a few speeches, more talk and then a very pleasant evening came to an end.
The club is holding an open day on the 6th of May, and this might give me the opportunity to go out in a sailing boat for the first time!
