Havant Academy Feb 14th.

Having been awarded funding from the Building Schools for the Future programme, St. Valentines Day was the date selected for the Grand Opening of the newly refurbished Havant Academy.

Around a hundred guests, teachers and students sat down to an excellent three couse meal prepared in the school’s own kitchens, and served by volunteers from amongst the students.

The evening began  with a soft-drink reception and the chance to mingle and meet some of the staff and students.

Before the meal, and between courses, we were treated to some fine singing, accompanied on the guitar and piano, by three of the students, Olivia, Emily and Kiara.

At the end of the evening the head, Mrs Julia Taylor, thanked all those who had worked so hard to enable the school to be so well improved.
